Cliff House - Pender Island, BC

This new house has a dual personality: from the south, it is a modern west coast style house overlooking an oceanside cliff, while from the north it has a more traditional form, a contemporary cabin in the woods. The cantilevered master bedroom on the second floor gives the owners a lookout to the orca- and eagle-populated strait, while the deck opens up to double the living space on the main floor.
